What is an event consultant? An event consultant is a professional
whose training, expertise, and contacts will help to make your event as close to perfect as it possibly can be, thus allowing
you and everyone at your event to relax and enjoy your wedding or other event.
Why should I hire an event consultant? People are often under the
misconception that planning your own event and preparing the food, setup, decorating and cleanup will save money. In fact,
it can sometimes cost more ... not just in dollars, but in time and headaches, too. A good event consultant can work with
you and within your budget, saving you valuable time and money and allowing you to enjoy the event. What does an event consultant do? Provides
expertise. For example, in the case of weddings, a consultant can help to plan, coordinate and direct the complete
wedding ... including day-of-event troubleshooting. Event consultants will counsel brides on what is possible within their
budgets, offer advice on all aspects of the wedding and can do the actual legwork of selecting professional wedding vendors.
On the day of the wedding a consultant can manage the events of the wedding and reception so the bride, groom and wedding
party can be worry-free to enjoy the day. Consultants are responsible for coordinating all wedding professionals as a team.
Communication is a key factor in any successful event. Saves time. The majority
of the time it takes for a bride to plan and coordinate her wedding is spent on research. Esteemed Events has done the research
and has the knowledge and expertise to locate a site or wedding professional to match any couple’s personality, style
and budget. Saves money. Brides and grooms sometimes feel a consultant can
be an additional expense that they cannot afford. In fact, a consultant can be your best investment, especially if you’re
on a strict budget. The consultant’s fee should be considered part of the budget and not an extra expense. An experienced
consultant can help a couple avoid common mistakes and keep within the budget. Working with vendors can be costly if the right
questions are not asked. A good consultant has researched several vendors in each category and the vendors in your consultant’s
preferred list should provide an excellent combination of value, quality, style and personality. Solves problems and saves stress. Having a personal consultant coordinating and troubleshooting on your wedding
day gives you and your family peace of mind so you can enjoy your special day worry-free. The careful planning and expert
referrals by a consultant will virtually eliminate the risk of mishaps on a wedding day. However, in the unlikely event of
a missed delivery or an attire problem (or other emergency), your consultant will have every resource to rectify the problem
at her fingertips. A well-trained consultant is an invaluable resource for you and your family, saving you concern about
any aspect of your important event. Esteemed Events will lift the burden from your
shoulders throughout the months, so you truly enjoy your engagement and the end result of the detailed planning — a
wedding that is truly a day to remember! What tools do you use in event planning? Software for event consultants
provides us with detailed reports, checklists, vendor and guest list management, vendor payment schedules, deadline notices,
schedules and much more. We also call upon our knowledge and resources from event planning coursework for Masters and Wedding
Planning Certification. Above all, the most important tools are passion for what we do ... organization, careful planning,
attention to detail, professionalism, and being able to work well under stressful situations. What happens at the initial consultation appointment? A one-hour,
no-cost and no-obligation initial consultation is always happily provided at a time that is convenient to the client. During
the initial consultation we will discuss the overall vision you have for your event and what type of services you desire.
Esteemed Events encourages clients to ask as many questions as possible during this
consultation, as many clients have never planned an event of this magnitude. The consultation is provided free of charge to
give you a better understanding of what services we can offer, a big picture of the event planning process, and to provide
you with the comfort to know we are here to assist you! Within two weeks of the initial consultation, Esteemed Events develops a proposal containing information and pricing for all aspects of the wedding or other
event discussed during the consultation. The proposal also includes a contract. What is your payment structure? When a client decides to hire Esteemed Events to assist them with event planning needs, a one-third deposit is required
to book us for that specific date. The balance is due two weeks before the event date. Package prices vary depending on various
elements of your event. Our prices are competitive ... so please contact us for a quote for your next event!
How involved will you be with my event? That’s completely
up to you. If you want Esteemed Events to make all of the decisions regarding your
event, we can do that. If you simply want to purchase your stationery or wedding accessories from us, that’s fine as
well. Any amount of involvement between the two examples above is fabulous. We will be as involved with your event as you
want us to be. How much notice do you need to help me? Depending on the specifics,
for a large event, beginning-to-end planning, to meet all of your needs, at least a year is a great time frame. If you already
have some of your planning done, less time is needed. Contact us and we will discuss what we are able to do for you.
What if my question isn’t on this list? If you have questions
that were not answered throughout this website, please give us a call or send an email. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have!
